Your name in filibuster
Ron Wyden, US Senator from Oregon and recent EFF Pioneer Award Winner, is threatening to filibuster PIPA. That’s a good thing. Among other things Protect-IP will create an internet blacklist for sites like YouTube that even accidentally host infringing content. This covers even innocent things like 12-year-olds singing Christina Aguilera songs.
Anyway, Wyden has brilliantly started a petition against PIPA and its Senate companion, SOPA, and will read the names of all signers into the record if/when he has to filibuster the act in the Senate. He’s even create a YouTube video to pitch the concept. Sign the petition at StopCensorship.org.
